Tell me a story
let it be a true one
I don’t wanna hear a fairytale
lull me with sweet songs
rock me with your lilting words
bring me rest tonight

can I find him
can he find me
and if I find him
will I run?

Tell me how to be brave
I’m scared to be a dreamer
all the pride that I could loose
should I learn not to care?
turn a trick
play a smile
fool myself it’s just a game

can I find him
can he find me
and if I find him
will I run?

Are my standards to high
wanting someone much to nice
the sort of guy that don’t exist
am I being a fool
I can’t help but be a dreamer
the story’s sucked me far too deep

will I love him
will he love me
if I love him
what kind of songs will we sing

I can’t imagine who you’ll be
one day you’ll trip and fall on me
I’ll fall on you and how we’ll smile
your eyes will warm me
how they’ll twinkle
how they’ll shine
how I’ll melt when you are near

can I love him
can he love me
if I love him
what kind of songs will we sing

the tale of two hands combined
skin pressed palm to palm
I bleed in you you bleed in me
the thought awes me
twirling dancing mystery
to take a vow held by the earth.

I will find him
and he will find me
and when I find him
I won’t run
